Beginning July 1, New Mexico bars, restaurants and taverns will be able to start serving liquor an hour earlier on Sundays, thanks to a bill Gov. Susana Martinez signed into law Friday.

The measure, sponsored by Sen. John Ryan, R-Albuquerque, is designed to help the tourism industry as well as liquor establishments.
