It wasn't Siskel & Ebert but Gov. Susana Martinez got two -- actually three -- thumbs down Monday on MSNBC's Morning Joe for her performance in Park City Utah at Mitt Romney's "Ideas Summit" this past weekend.

On the show, hosted by former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough, political reporters Kasie Hunt (of NBC), Mark Halperin of Time magazine, and Mike Allen, chief White House correspondent for Politico had nothing good to say about Martinez's speech at the event, which was hosted by Romney and attended by several possible presidential hopefuls including Romney's 2012 running mate Paul Ryan, Sen. Rand Paul, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and others. The event also was attended by many of Romney's biggest fundraisers, who apparently are looking for someone to back in 2016.

She has achieved everything that she has set out to. New Mexico is last in Child Hunger, Last in Elderly Hunger. She should donate her 4.8 million dollar war chest to the state and walk away. She has successfully dodged requests for public records, she has stalled a Supreme Court order. She treats our teachers like Socialist Siberian workers. She has alienated all the public employees like indentured servants.
If she is New Mexico's future, start praying for our children.

Guess the real Susana made the Utah appearance. Maybe if she would have used a teleprompter, she would have have been more convincing to the casting crew, AKA donors. So much for the GOP savior. Now they saw who she really is, "she's our governor, Susana Martinez".

I am not voting for her! She has been a disappointment for New Mexico!

I will vote for her. I would vote for a fence post in preference to King.

I will hope that the Republicans nominate her for VP --

since she is little more than a fence post.

What? You are surprised by this. That's the big time, not for amateurs.

    Mr. Green,

"And that set the stage for a lack of connection that was one of the biggest gaps between reality and perception I've seen in years."--Mike Allen, Politico Magazine.

I hope someone uses that excerpt in a commercial. New Mexicans have been watching her bomb for nearly four years.

    [rolleyes]

Did Susana demand a teleprompter as well as a podium?

The reason she needed a podium was to conceal who was really doing the talking (she's just a ventriloquist's dummy, remember) and that's, Jay McCleskey.

And since everyone knows she's running vor vice president--not president--why was she even invited to this good ol' boy gathering? To make all those white guys look good in comparison?

I don't think any video was made at the Romney event. We do have the Morning Joe clip embedded now though
