Joshua Oppenheimer's The Act of Killing won Best Documentary at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards on Sunday. The film features interviews with death-squad leaders who participated in a 1965 military coup in Indonesia. But Oppenheimer also has the mass murderers re-enact their real-life killings.
Oppenheimer, who has Santa Fe ties, caught media attention for accusing Britain and the United States of supporting the 1965 genocide. You can listen to the speech here: http://bit.ly/1cR8w8m
