Slow and steady job growth is probably the best summary of how the Santa Fe economy fared in December.

According to the state Department of Workforce Solutions, the metro area gained 200 jobs over the 12 months from Dec. 2012 to Dec. 2013 and the number of non-farm jobs now stand at 61,100. Payrolls peaked in Santa Fe County at 66,400 in July of 2008.
