Santa Fe’s 63rd annual Traditional Spanish Market takes the stage, literally and figuratively, the last weekend in July (26 & 27) on the Plaza. This year, for the first time in market history, the Spanish Colonial Arts Society will launch ¡Viva la Cultura! — a lively weeklong cultural festival under a big top tent on its home ground at the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art — the week prior to the market. The society, which sponsors Spanish Market, presents a series of events that will extend the market into a weeklong celebration.
“This market and our new, special week of events bring all the components of traditional Spanish life together, focusing on history, art, family, food and music,” said Spanish Market Director Maggie Magalnick.
