Fiesta de Santa Fe, 2013

Who keeps a promise for 300 years—and counting? Fiesta de Santa Fe celebrates a promise made in 1712. Learn about the political and religious roots of the celebration and check out fiesta’s historical timeline. There’s also a brief history of the burning of Zozobra (Old Man Gloom), a popular annual event started by artist Will Shuster in 1924 that has precedes the official celebration. ¡Qué viva la fiesta!
