Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society: Richard, a 2-year-old Siberian husky mix, is a playful fellow who can be a bit picky about his canine friends. He’s great with people, but does need to learn some manners. Snickers, a 2-year-old domestic shorthair, is a great kitty with lots of love to share. At 16 pounds, he does need to lose a little weight, but it is 16 pounds of pure love.

These and other animals are available for adoption from the shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Road. The shelter’s adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Join the shelter’s mobile adoption team from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at La Montanita Food Co-op, 913 W. Alameda St. Visit www.sfhumanesociety.org or call 983-4309, ext. 610.
