Bob Quick Veteran fitness practitioner Douglass Lawder is opening a new business, called Buddha Fitness Center, in the Railyard Lofts in a space that will more than double the size of his current operation.

The club is scheduled to open in February, but Lawder and his fiancée and business partner, Tara Lyons, will hold a "grand pre-opening party" from 5 to 7 p.m Friday.
