Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr., better known as Ne-Yo, has come back as a single male artist for the first time since his album
Year Of The Gentlemen.
After working with several different artists on remixes and remakes The Island Def Jam producer/vocalist releases his third album — Librascale.
His career began in 2005 when he released his first album,
In My Own Words, which made its debut with three songs that made it to the Billboard chart of top 100 songs.
Ne-Yo is also known to have written the song "Let Me Love You" that was actually recorded and released by Mario.
Ne-Yo signed in 2005 with Island Def Jam, which also boasts a strong lineup of other artists, including Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael-Cox, Mariah Carey, who Ne-Yo has worked with, along with artists from other record labels.
The new album reflects an energetic and playful style of music along with an emotional side to every song as they each tell their own story. Overall, the album was good.
