Horror fans love it when a new Stephen King book hits stores. Being a big fan of horror books and Stephen King, I bought Just After Sunset as soon as I found it at a local drugstore.
Stephen King is considered one of the best writers of our time, but sometimes even the best cannot outdo themselves.
Just After Sunset is a collection of short stories that seem to jump from place to place. As far as the quality goes, some of the stories felt like chores to read and seemed to take forever to complete. On the other hand, some were among the best short stories I have read in a long time.
Stephen King has a huge reputation to uphold. Long-time readers should give the book a chance, but don't expect as much from this as some of his best-selling books. Anyone just beginning to be interested in the horror genre of Stephen King should pick up one of his early books.
