If you are a fan of hip-hop and are one of the many locals who complain of a lack of all-ages venues in the Santa Fe area, look no further than the new Warehouse 21, the host of such an event this Saturday night.

The event is open to anyone for the low price of $6 — and all proceeds are being donated to benefit Warehouse 21's enormous array of community programs. Groups are performing free of charge to help benefit community growth.

The newly established Warehouse building has provided a tremendous presence in our community, providing alternative entertainment and education to Santa Fe's diverse youth — including (but not limited to) performing, visual and digital-media arts.

As for another aspect of the event, the MC Battle, anyone who thinks they can hold their own in a freestyle showdown on the mic is encouraged to come out. If you sign up before the show begins, the entry free will be waived and you will have a chance at winning a CD or vinyl record prize. Not to mention that city-wide notoriety will be gained in the local freestyle circuit. Warehouse 21 provides an awesome and rare opportunity to shine in an often desirable element of the hip-hop world.

If hip-hop is not your thing, you can always check out the Sunday night homecoming show of CassoVita (formerly known as the group Fallen Hope) returning to Santa Fe from their summer tour. This show is only $5 and will also feature Fields Of Elysium (Abq metal), SIFIC (SF metal) and This Days Light (new Santa Fe local metal).
