Valentino Pascucci stepped to the plate and delivered a win to the Albuquerque Isotopes on Tuesday.

Tied at 1-1 in the top of the eighth, Pascucci hit his seventh home run of the year, and led the Isotopes to a 2-1 Pacific Coast League baseball win over Memphis at AutoZone Park.

Nick DeBarr and Scott Strickland followed with perfect innings in the eighth and ninth innings respectively out of the bullpen.

Albuquerque starter Giancarlo Alvarado (4-5) earned the win with seven strong innings, giving up just one run and four hits with six strikeouts. Strickland earned his 10th save.

Matt Scherer (0-1) suffered the loss after giving up the dinger to Pascucci.

The Isotopes (31-34) took the lead on Dee Brown's sacrifice fly in the seventh, but Memphis (31-34) tied the game in the same inning on Bryan Anderson's RBI double.

The Redbirds and Isotopes wrap up their three-game series today with the first pitch scheduled for 12:05 p.m. Mitchell Boggs (2-2) pitches for Memphis, and will face scheduled Albuquerque starter Charlie Haegar (7-4).

The 'Topes return to Isotopes Park in Albuquerque on Thursday to start an eight-game homestand, beginning with four against Omaha.
