After nursing a three-stroke lead (10 under to 7 under) after the second round of the Junior America's Cup at Isleta Eagle Golf Club in Albuquerque, Southern California ran away from the field Thursday.
The team shot a final round 11 under to win the tournament by 13 strokes at 21 under par.
New Mexico's team, Sun Country, moved up two places on the final day to No. 11 with a final score of 10-over 649.
St. Michael's High student Marty Sanchez fired a final-round 72, but did not place.
Albuquerque Academy teammates James Lee and Simon Miller were the host-team's low scorers with three-day totals of 6-over 216, tied for 21st.
Oregon's Zach Foushee was the low individual, shooting a three-day 9-under 204.
