People with ideas on how to prevent drunken driving are invited to present their suggestions to a community forum from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Jemez Rooms of Santa Fe Community College, 6401 S. Richards Ave.
"The purpose is to elicit ideas for reducing DWI from the population who attends and to identify leaders and organizers to follow through on trying to implement some of those initiatives," said Richard Roth, executive director of Impact DWI, which is sponsoring the forum.
The forum has been organized in the aftermath of the June 28 accident on Old Las Vegas Highway that killed four teenagers and seriously injured another. "It's an opportunity for people, instead of just feeling this anguish of why this keeps happening, to identify and find ways in which they can participate in making a difference," Roth said.
Suggestions will be transcribed, e-mailed to those who provide e-mail addresses and made available at
www.ImpactDWI.org. For more information, visit the Web site or call 471-4764.
