Trail admission: $2 for adults, $1 for children 12 and under
Hours: 8 a.m.-dusk, visitor center hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. daily
Directions: Drive east on Upper Canyon Road. When the pavement ends, continue on the dirt road one-quarter mile. The road dead-ends at the center.
Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge

Fees: $3 per vehicle. Tours, classes and lectures during the Festival of the Cranes range from $5 up to $95.
Hours: A half-hour before sunrise to a half-hour after sunset. Visitor center hours are 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekends.
Directions: South on Interstate 25 to Exit 139. Go east one-quarter mile on U.S. 380 to the flashing signal. Turn right onto N.M. 1 and drive south nine miles to the visitor center.

Directions: Take Canyon Road toward the mountains. When it ends on East Alameda Street, take a right. At the first stop sign, take a left onto Upper Canyon Road. Turn left when Upper Canyon Road merges with Cerro Gordo Road just before the pavement ends. The trailhead parking is just around the corner on the right.
