As we continue introducing the new Santafenewmexican.com this week, we
want to use this space to talk about some of the new features we're
offering.
Given that Wednesday we had our first snow of the season, it seemed appropriate to focus on our weather-related features.
We have partnered with
Accuweather.com to provide weather information, including current conditions on
Santafenewmexican.com. You can find weather information at glance from our homepage.

Just look at the top of the screen, you'll see a weather icon describing current conditions in ZIP code 87501.
If you want more detailed information, including extended forecasts, you can click on the icon and you'll be sent to a
page (santafenewmexican.com/weather/) with the information you're seeking.
From this page, you can view extended forecasts or search a different ZIP code for weather conditions. Some features will connect you with information on the Accuweather Web site.

If you'd like weather warnings on your mobile phone, we offer those through our
New Mex TXT service. Signing up is easy.
You can designate whether you'd like to receive severe weather warnings when the National Weather Service issues them about your county.
Because severe weather can happen anytime, it is possible to receive weather warnings in the middle of the night.
Or, you can register for daily forecasts, which are simple summaries of the days weather report.
These messages are short and sent 7:30 a.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. weekends. There is no fee for this service.
You can also sign up for news alerts from Santafenewmexican.com on top breaking news while signing up for the forecast.
Let us know what you think of these weather services and how we might better serve you in the future.
Also, please consider joining us on "The Reload Tour." Staff from The New Mexican will be visiting wireless hot spots around Santa Fe starting next week.
We'll answer questions and give you a tour of the site. Take the tour enter to win an ASUS netbook or iPod Touch.
