The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
  • Someone stole a 2003 Land Rover from the DeVargas Center parking lot between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, while the owner was in the mall theater watching a movie.
  • A resident in the 1200 block of Calle La Mirada reported Friday that his granddaughter has opened several credit-card accounts in his name.
  • Geno Montaño, 26, 911 Agua Fría St., was arrested at 3:41 a.m. Saturday in the 3600 block of Cerrillos Road on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.
  • A resident in the 3000 block of Governor Lindsay Road reported Friday that someone broke a door lock at the home and stole a 40-inch television and a stereo.
  • An Española man staying at a motel at 3470 Cerrillos Road reported that $80 cash and a $2,100 Rolex watch were stolen from his room between 9 and 9:20 a.m. Saturday, as he ate breakfast at the motel.
  • A resident in the 2000 block of Hopewell Street said a male unlawfully entered his residence and stole 25 pills of Clonazepam, which is used to treat panic disorders and some kinds of seizures.
  • The death of an 83-year-old man was reported at 11:41 p.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of Pueblo Puye. No signs of foul play were reported.
  • An intoxicated Santa Cruz man was placed in protective custody at St. Vincent Regional Medical Center after he and an Española woman were seen arguing in the 1000 block of Camino Carlos Rey.
  • Someone stole 20 compact discs from a vehicle in the 600 block of North Guadalupe Street between 11 and 11:45 p.m. Friday after smashing a window and trying to steal the stereo.
  • A man reported that another man came to his front door in the area of Agua Fría and Closson streets Saturday with a 12-gauge shotgun and said, "Do you want some?" and fled in a gold Chevrolet Malibu with the words "Nasty Habit" in the back window. The man who called police later become uncooperative and said he didn't want to file a report.
  • A resident in the 100 block of West Zia Road reported at 3:30 p.m. Friday that a $1,000 refrigerator and a $1,000 stove were stolen earlier this year.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following report:
  • Deputies arrested Raymond Acosta, 50, of Corrales on a charge of driving while intoxicated after stopping him for speeding on Interstate 25 on Friday.
