The Santa Fe Police Department in investigating the following reports:
  • A 2007 Pontiac G6 was stolen Friday night by an acquaintance of the owner from the 1800 block of Espinacitas Street and recovered early Saturday morning at Vista Alegre Apartments on Zepol Road.
  • Sherry Martinez, 40, of Truchas was arrested Saturday night on a charge of battery of a health care worker after she kicked a nurse in the head at St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, a police report says.
  • A resident in the 800 block of Calle Mejia reported seeing suspicious activity outside her home Saturday night, and police found her hubcaps removed and next to her vehicle.
  • Someone scratched a 2006 Lexus sedan and broke the tail lights early Saturday morning in the 3000 block of St. Francis Drive, causing $4,200 in damage.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:

  • A Calle Enrique resident reported Friday hearing a loud noise from the far side of her residence and that she yelled because she suspected someone was breaking in. She later found a door with signs of forced entry.
  • Maria Campos, 53, of Santa Fe was arrested Sunday on U.S. 84/285 in Tesuque on charges of resisting arrest, evading police, obstructing an officer and driving outside the lane. She allegedly refused to stop for a deputy who tried to pull her over for a lane violation and drove several miles before Tesuque Tribal Police stopped her with a spike strip, according to a police report, which said Campos was not impaired.
  • Luis Salas-Morales, 21, of Santa Fe was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a deputy pulled him over for a lane violation Saturday on U.S. 84/285 in Tesuque. Salas-Morales had a a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater, a police report says.
  • A woman reported Saturday her ex-boyfriend went to her residence on Avenida de Sesario, entered the home and took the keys to five vehicles. Reported stolen were a Yamaha R6 motorcycle, 1995 Cadillac STS, red 2002 Jaguar S-type, tan 1986 Chevrolet pickup and a red and white Yamaha Raptor all-terrain vehicle.
