Santa Fe has been named the fifth-best city in the United States and Canada fro the third consecutive year, according to Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards readers' poll.

New York City was named the best city in the U.S. and Canada, while Bangkok (even with all the civil unrest there earlier this year) was named the World's Best City in the 15th annual survey.

In addition to New York City, Santa Fe came in after San Francisco, Charleston, S.C., and Chicago.

The cities following Santa Fe in the poll were Vancouver; New Orleans; Quebec City; Victoria, British Columbia; and Washington, D.C.

As for hotels, Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi is ranked fourth on the list of top 10 small-city hotels. The Santa Fe hotel is tied for the No. 4 ranking with the Eliot Hotel in downtown Boston.

After 12 years in business, Heather Wolf-Espinosa and Marvin Espinosa, the co-owners of El Tesoro Restaurant in Sanbusco, are retiring and will be selling their interest to their existing partners, Heather's brother-in-law Manuel Espinosa and his wife, Rosa Cante.

El Tesoro is recognized by many as one of the best Guadalupe area restaurants for good food and excellent value, according to an e-mail from Sanbusco Market Center owner Joe Schepps.

The El Salvadorian-based cuisine is popular with locals and tourists alike and El Tesoro will continue in the same fine tradition that it has maintained since 1998.

For more information, call Sanbusco Market Center manager Karen Mondragon at 505-989-9390, ext. 18.
