Two area roads were tagged by the Department of Transportation as having "severe driving conditions" early Friday.

U.S. 84/285 between Santa Fe and Pojoaque (from mile markers 164 to 180) was reported as being "snow packed and icy" as was N.M. 475 from Santa Fe to the Ski Basin.

Interstate 25 from the Cochiti exit south of Santa Fe through the Glorietta area east of Santa Fe was reported around 6:20 a.m. as being snow packed and icy but the road conditions were classified as "difficult" and not yet "severe," according to the DOT.
