EspaƱola Valley Humane Society: Zoey's owner could not have dogs and was heart-broken when she had to surrender him. Zoey knows how it is to have her own home and be loved every day. She awaits her new home.
Dylan, a 1-year-old German shepherd mix, is an energetic dog who would do great with someone who loves to hike or walk with him.
Lucy, a 3-year-old heeler, looks for a chance to show her loyalty. She's friendly and outgoing.
These and other animals are available for adoption at the shelter, 108 Hamm Parkway. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 4:45 p.m. Sunday. Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society: Shorty, a 1-year-old pit bull-basset hound, is a playful sweetie who gets along well with other dogs. He must go to a home with no cats.
