The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following report:
  • Police arrested Joseph Madrid, age unavailable, 415 Kathryn St., on Sunday and charged him with driving with a revoked license, no insurance and speeding. Madrid was supposed to have an ignition interlock in his car and didn't.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
  • Deputies arrested Fernando Aguire, 25, 1512 La Cieneguita, on Tuesday and charged him with violating an order of protection.
  • Nearly $22,000 worth of equipment was stolen Tuesday from a plumbing truck parked on Mallard Way.
  • A 1996 Subaru Outback was stolen Monday from in front of a residence in El Rancho.
  • Deputies arrested Marcial Romero, 24, 2729 Aspen Loop, on Monday and charged him with burglary, larceny and criminal damage to property.
DWI arrests
  • City police officers arrested Eugene Sandoval, 60, 515 Kathryn St., on Saturday and charged him with felony driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance. Sandoval has three prior DWI convictions, according to a police report.
  • Police arrested Kerri Lakatos, age unavailable, 36 Coyote Crossing, on Sunday and charged her with DWI, possession of cocaine and reckless driving.
Speed SUV

Today's location of the Santa Fe Police Department's speed enforcement vehicle:
  • From 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.: Larragoite Elementary School, on Agua Fría Street between Avenida Cristobal Colon and Velarde Street.
  • After 8:30 a.m.: Southbound lanes of U.S. 84/285, north of N.M. 599.
