The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
• An envelope containing Wells Fargo checks was reported stolen recently from a mail drop box in the 1800 block of Plaza del Sur. They were discovered later in the possession of a woman arrested by a Colorado probation officer.
• The license plate was stolen from a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am parked Saturday in the 3000 block of Cerrillos Road.
• A power sander and power drlll were recovered in nearby bushes Saturday after someone broke into the camper shell on a Toyota Tundra parked in a lot in the 300 block of Garfield Street. A man carrying items stolen from the vehicle was seen running from the scene.
• A 43-inch TV was stolen between Thursday and Saturday from a residence in the 800 block of Calle Anaya.
• A residence near San Juan Ranch and Tano roads was burglarized between Nov. 11 and Sunday. Someone broke a window to gain entrance. It had not been determined if anything was stolen.
u A vehicle parked on Demecio Road in Tesuque was broken into between Nov. 9 and Thursday. Several items were stolen.
• Alisha Begay, 21, address not given, was booked into the county jail Saturday after she was found passed out in the McDonald's parking lot on Calle Lucia. She failed sobriety tests and was arrested. Begay also was charged with endangering her two children, 5 and 12 months, who were with her. The children were turned over to a grandmother.
• About $6,000 worth of jewelry, a Nintendo game with six videos, a cell phone and a Sony camcorder were stolen Sunday from a residence in the 3500 block of Charley Bentley Drive.
• Angel Padilla, 34, of Rio Rancho, was charged early Sunday with rape and battery against a household member after an assault on a woman at a residence on Agua Fría Street. The victim was taken to Christus St. Vincent's Regional Medical Center.
• Musical equipment was stolen betgween Nov. 4 and Saturday from a store shed near Morning Drive and Agua Fría Street.
DWI arrests
• Eugene R. Sandoval, 60, no address given, was arrested Saturday on charges of DWI after a vehicle crash at a liquor store at 1913 Hickox St.
• Jerrold Salazar, 38, of Pacheco Lane, N.M. 76, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of aggravated DWI, careless driving, a revoked driver's license, leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest after his car struck a motorcycle on U.S. 84/285 near La Puebla Road. Salazar allegedly fled the scene and then tried to run from officers who had captured him a few miles away from the accident.
• Janelle Pacheco, 37, of Santa Fe was arrested on suspicion of DWI after a rollover crash on Entrada La Cienega on Thursday. She was not injured, deputies said.
