The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
• A Santa Fe man reported that a 22-year-old man he allowed to live at his home on Cibola Circle while he was out of the state accessed his files and charged more than $10,000 on his credit cards and forged checks. The man also opened accounts in the resident's name.
• A laptop computer was stolen Monday or Tuesday from a residence in the 2000 block of Calle Navidad. Entry was gained by breaking a window.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
• Deputies arrested Patricio Tavarez, 40, address unavailable, on Wednesday and charged him with battery on a household member. Tavarez allegedly punched a female family member in the face during an argument.
• Two flat-screen televisions, an iPod, two laptop computers, jewelry, a power drill and DVDs were stolen Tuesday from a residence on Corral Blanco Road after an unknown person used an ax to break down a door.
• Two chain saws and 100 pounds of copper tubing were stolen Tuesday from the 100 block of Tesuque Village Road. Also, a car stereo was stolen from a vehicle parked on the property.
DWI arrests
• Deputies arrested William Nelson, 37, address unavailable, on Tuesday and charged him with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Nelson was involved in a motor vehicle crash at Agua Fría Street and San Isidro Crossing. His breath alcohol content was 0.18, more than double the legal driving limit.
• Deputies arrested Ricardo Chavez, 29, address unavailable, on Tuesday and charged him with aggravated DWI. Chavez's 1993 Cadillac was parked in the middle of East Ramada Way, and a deputy found him passed out in the back seat. Chavez was allegedly too drunk to take field sobriety tests and was arrested.
• City police officers arrested Catherine Lithgow, age unavailable, 2069 Calle Contento, on Tuesday and charged her with DWI and careless driving.

• From 7:25 to 8:15 a.m. and 2:10 to 2:55 p.m.: Salazar Elementary School. When not parked at the school, the vehicle will be located on Siler Road between Agua Fría and Alameda streets.
