The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
  • A young male kicked in the front door to an apartment in the 2000 block of Hopewell Street on Friday, ransacked the residence and stole a 32-inch flat-screen television and a DVD player. A witness saw the perpetrator and heard a commotion but didn't call police.
DWI arrests
  • Deputies arrested Jonathan Sereno, 24, 2921 Camino del Bosque, on Sunday and charged him with felony driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Sereno was arrested after he drove up to a deputy investigating a car crash and was found to be intoxicated. Sereno has four previous DWIs, according a police report.
  • Deputies arrested Rex Corcoran, 24, 37 La Vela Road, on Sunday and charged him with felony DWI, careless driving and no license. Corcoran lost control of his vehicle on Agua Fría Street and struck two mailboxes. Corcoran has four previous DWIs, according to a police report.
Speed SUV

Today's location of the Santa Fe Police Department's mobile speed enforcement vehicle:
  • From 7:25 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. to 2:55 p.m.: Gonzales Elementary School. When the vehicle is not parked at the school, it will be at St. Francis and Viento drives.
