The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:

• Thieves attempted but failed Wednesday to make off with a stereo from an auto parked in the driveway of a residence in the 2300 block of Calle Luminoso.

• An iPod and paperwork were stolen late Wednesday or early Thursday from a 2005 Ford SUV parked in the 600 block of Cortez Street.

• A 2003 GMC pickup was burglarized late Wednesday or early Thursday while it was parked in the 2200 block of Sol y Luz Street. It was unclear whether anything was stolen.

• A 1994 Mazda pickup parked in the 4200 block of Vegas de Suenos was burglarized late Wednesday or early Thursday. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

• Mary Ellen Fowler, 50, of Santa Fe was arrested Thursday on charges of driving on a suspended or revoked license and careless driving and failure to appear in court on a previous charge. She was booked into the Santa Fe County jail after a vehicle crash at Rufina Street and Lopez Lane.

• A shoplifter is suspected of stealing an undisclosed amount of merchandise from Heavenly Treasurers, 564 N. Guadalupe St., between Dec. 5 and Jan. 30.

• Robert Gallegos, no age given, of Velarde was arrested Thursday on charges of using a cell phone while driving and driving on a suspended or revoked license after a traffic stop at Cerrillos Road and Zafarano Drive.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:

• Two men and a woman were chased from a residence near Housing Drive at San Felipe Street on Thursday by someone driving a green SUV. The driver attempted to hit the three with the vehicle, deputies were told. The three said they had been asked to leave the residence because the person they were looking for was not there.

• The back door of a residence on Fonda Court was forced open Wednesday, but nothing appeared to have been taken from the home.

• A laptop computer was stolen from a car parked on Paseo de la Paz. The left rear window had been broken. The deputy's report was not clear on when the burglary occurred.

• Jenny Bourdon, 25, an inmate at the Santa Fe County jail, was booked on charges of possession of marijuana Wednesday after an odor of marijuana was noticed wafting from her cell.

DWI arrest

• Derrick Pena, 29, of Santa Fe was arrested Thursday on charges that included driving under the influence and possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. The arrest came after a traffic stop on Interstate 25 near mile marker 265.
