The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
  • An intruder got into a home in the 2000 block of Hopi Road on Saturday, though it was unclear if anything was stolen.
  • A Santa Fe woman was found dead Sunday at her residence in the 500 block of Adolfo Street. Police reported no signs of foul play.
  • Officers arrested Michelle Leyba, 35, 553 W. San Francisco St., on Sunday and charged her with aggravated assault on a household member and aggravated battery on a household member.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
  • A 56-year-old man was found dead Monday at his residence on Santa Fe County Road 101B in Jacona. No signs of foul play were reported.
DWI arrests
  • Deputies arrested Jeff Romero, 43, address unavailable, on Saturday and charged him with driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a traffic lane. Romero, who has two previous DWI arrests on his record, had a breath alcohol content of .10.
  • Deputies arrested Justin Jessen, 21, address unavailable, on Friday and charged him with DWI.
  • Deputies arrested Veronica Romero-Caudillo, 20, 5999 Airport Road, on Saturday and charged her with DWI, aggravated assault, child abuse, aggravated assault on a household member and aggravated battery on a household member. Romero-Caudillo admitted to hitting her boyfriend and ramming her car into his while their 2-year-old son was in her car during a fight in the Cedar Creek Apartments parking lot.
  • City officers arrested Lawrence Valdez, 29, 6500 Maple Drive, on Sunday and charged him with aggravated DWI.
