After a rough beginning, this weekend brings a lighter, nervy, social vibe with a deeper challenge underneath from a full moon in nature-loving, restless Sagittarius. Sagittarius also loves freedom, so let's not crowd one another; instead, let's get out there, talk to the natural world, and let the flowers and birds sing the soul's healing.

But we have work to do before we go. Friday, June 5, is moody. We may be asked to wrestle with some mechanical or bureaucratic snag or deal with someone jostling to exert their authority as the sun squares taskmaster Saturn. Work may take more effort but can produce substantial results.

The rest of the weekend has light and exploratory notes; we need to laugh a lot, move about, and commune with nature. Underneath this summery enthusiasm, we may hear deeper concerns humming as the full moon squares and activates the defining aspect of the year: the foundation-rocking, era-changing Saturn opposing Uranus.

We left one era (both personally and sociopolitically) as traditional Saturn opposed electrical Uranus last Election Day on Nov. 4, 2008. We were challenged to take the changes deeper when this aspect peaked on Feb. 5, and we will be challenged again during the full moon this weekend and as the aspect peaks again on Sept. 15. Under the bright light of the full moon, we see how far we've come and how far we have left to go.

Not everything is changing; our emotions may be steadier than normal, if unusually strong, as Venus and Mars run conjunct in solid, earthy Taurus. It's a seductive and sensual conjunction that can bring us closer together.

Venus and Mars in Taurus give us endurance, but we have to make sure we're on the right path. This aspect helps us protect our territory; it can help us acquire things and people, but we have to make sure that our possessiveness (which can get fierce under this aspect) doesn't undermine our love.

Midweek, deconstruction, misinformation, or weird weather can make our lives a bit uncertain or complicated, requiring us to put one foot in front of the other with care. It will feel like Mercury is retrograde again as it squares Neptune and sextiles Uranus, but this is progress.

Friday, June 5: Tough decisions need follow-through and effort as the sun challenges hardworking and responsible Saturn. Avoid administrative snags.

Saturday, June 6: Get out and feel the global pulse as the moon waxes in restless Sagittarius. Hearts lighten, but nervous excitement buzzes. Hang in there through midafternoon misunderstandings. Dance the night away.

Sunday, June 7: Today brings a most restless full moon — even the earth wants to move. The worse the situation, the more we need to laugh.

Monday, June 8: Morning has a sweet if jumpy edge; check in and assess the changes. We clarify and achieve goals later when the moon enters efficient Capricorn. We may feel homesick for a once-and-future home as Venus trines and the moon conjuncts Pluto. Evening brings a more restful heart.

Tuesday, June 9: Listen for a nudge to re-imagine and fix some things, relationships, or ways of thinking as Mercury squares Chiron, sextiles Uranus, and trines Neptune.

Wednesday, June 10: Today brings ingenuity and competence if we can avoid getting sidetracked. Work may stop and start but smoothes into solid progress later.

Thursday, June 11: We are cheerfully oblivious and utterly stubborn as the Aquarius moon squares Venus and Mars. If a cranky spell snags in the evening, a solitary moment soothes.
