From The Santa Fe New Mexican:

June 4, 1958: Sen. Clinton Anderson (D-N.M.) has been asked to try to find out why the Air Force plans a nuclear power project for aircraft near Denver instead of in New Mexico. ... The Atomic Energy Commission-Air Force Nuclear Power Agency has said the project at Rocky Mountain Arsenal will do research into nuclear power units for manned aircraft.

Guadalajara, Mexico — The looted bodies of the 45 victims of Mexico's worst air disaster were being brought to Guadalajara today for identification. Investigators are trying to learn what caused the Constellation of the Aeronaves de Mexico line to crash into El Picacho Peak Monday night during an electrical storm. The army was ordered to make a house-by-house search of Tlajomulco village in an effort to recover property looted from the wreckage. Searchers arriving more than eight hours after the crash found the bodies and luggage stripped of money, jewelry and some clothing. Officials charged that villagers, awakened by the explosion, had raided the wreck.
