Governor's speech to air live

Public station KNME-TV will air Gov. Susana Martinez's State of the State address live Tuesday, the first day of the 2012 legislative session. The speech will be broadcast on Channel 5.1. The station also will stream the event live on its website, www.knme.org. A 1 p.m. start time is approximate.

Gene Grant, host of KNME's weekly public affairs series New Mexico In Focus, will provide an on-air introduction at noon. Following Martinez's speech, Grant will be joined for live analysis by former lawmakers and leaders from both sides of the aisle, including Republican former Lt. Gov. Walter Bradley, former House Republican Whip Dan Foley, former Democratic legislator Pauline Eisenstadt and former Democratic Senate President Pro Tem Richard Romero.
