After nine years, the Rev. Steven Furrer will be leaving the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Santa Fe at the end of June.
Furrer is moving to Santa Monica, Calif., to take up the ministry of the Unitarian Universalist Community Church of Santa Monica, a 412-member congregation.
Born in 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio, Furrer is a sixth generation Unitarian, a graduate of Hamilton College (1972), the Pacific School of Religion (1977) and the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (2000). He was ordained in 1979 by the Los Gatos, Calif., Unitarian Fellowship and served Unitarian congregations from Hawaii to Maine.
