The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:

  • A laptop computer was stolen Wednesday from a residence in the 500 block of West San Francisco Street.
  • A Santa Fe woman reported that two females driving a black Pontiac Grand Prix with New Mexico license plate JHS-726 attacked her at the corner of La Cieneguita and Agua Fría Street on Wednesday. The women stole jewelry from the victim and tried to carjack her vehicle.
  • An unknown person kicked open the front door to a residence in the 1200 block of Vegas Verdes Drive and stole a computer, a video game system and other unspecified items.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:

  • A pit bull puppy, a pit bull adult female and a gold/diamond engagement set were stolen between July and Wednesday from a residence on Camino del Pastorez.
  • A Nintendo Wii system was stolen Wednesday from a residence on Arroyo Jaconita.
  • Deputies arrested Joaquin Montoya, 67, 131 Los Pinos Road, on Oct. 7 and charged him with failure to register as a sex offender.
