The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:

  • A car stereo and an unspecified number of compact discs were stolen Monday from a 1998 Kia Sportage parked in the 2000 block of Cerrillos Road.
  • A purse was stolen Tuesday from a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser parked in the 500 block of West Cordova Road.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:

  • Deputies arrested Miguel Ortiz, 22, 2779 Sycamore Loop, on Monday and charged him with driving while intoxicated, no license and no insurance.
  • A 42-inch flat-screen television was stolen Monday from a residence near the intersection of Paseo Galisteo and Old Agua Fría Road.
  • Deputies arrested David Madrid, 25, and Caprice Howland, 20, both of Santa Fe, on Monday after a traffic stop on Airport Road. The couple, who were both intoxicated, had a 2-year-old child in the car with them when they were stopped. Madrid was charged with aggravated DWI, child abuse, speeding, having an open container of alcohol in the car and no insurance. Howland was charged with child abuse.
  • A 56-year-old man was found dead Monday at his residence on Indian Circle. No signs of foul play were reported.
  • Deputies arrested Jeffrey Horne, 38, address unavailable, on Monday and charged him with battery on a household member.
