The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:

• Police arrested Joseph Murray, 40, of Santa Fe around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at De Vargas Center on charges of aggravated battery on a police officer, receiving stolen property and shoplifting. A report says he stole $448 in pots from a mall and spit on a police officer and said he was HIV positive. A police spokesman said Murray's claimed is being investigated.

• Someone broke into a vehicle in the 1900 block of Thomas Avenue late Tuesday or early Wednesday and stole a purse.

• Someone broke into a residence in the 2700 block of Via Caballero by busting a window Tuesday and stole miscellaneous items.

• Someone broke into a residence in the 6400 block of Cerros Grande Drive on Tuesday and stole a handgun.

• Someone stole a 1985 Ford station wagon in the 1500 block of Agua Fría Street on Tuesday.

• A resident in the 1000 block of Santa Clara Drive reported his grandson got into his house by breaking a lock and stole his electric saw Tuesday.

• Someone stole a $500 digital camera Tuesday from the lobby of a building in the 700 block of North St. Francis Drive.

• A 76-year-old woman died Tuesday at her home in the 1600 block of La Cieneguita Street. There were no signs of foul play.

• Police caught a 13-year-old boy in the 1700 block of Llano Street who was trying to sell Lortab, a narcotic painkiller, on Tuesday. A reported also said the boy was under the influence of the drug.

The Santa Fe Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:

• Deputies responded at 3 p.m. Tuesday to a burglary in progress on Los Pinos Road in La Cienega, where they discovered a door had been kicked in and that a digital camera, money, credit cards and jewelry were stolen.

• Deputies arrested Ben Herrera, 26, of Ojo Caliente after he was found in possession of heroin Wednesday at the county jail.

• Someone broke into a Casa del Oro residence in Eldorado between 10:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday and stole jewelry valued at $3,000.

• Deputies arrested three 18-year-old men Tuesday in El Rancho on weapons and other charges after responding to a gunfire report. Deputies found a party attended by two 16-year-old girls near County Road 84 and arrested Albert Rodriguez on a charge of negligent use of a weapon, Edgar Chavira-Grijalva on two counts of negligent use of a weapon and Andrew Chavez on two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Deputies seized a shotgun and handgun.

• Someone stole a 2001 Ford F-250 pickup, New Mexico plate KIB-073, between 3 and 9 p.m. Tuesday from the 2300 block of Rufina Street.

• Someone broke into a residence in the 100 block of Sunrise Road in La Cienega on Tuesday by throwing a brick through the window and stole a $3,000, 52-inch TV from the living room.

• Someone broke into a residence in the 3300 block of Calle Po Ah Pi on Tuesday and stole a $1,500, 42-inch flat-screen TV. Deputies arrested a juvenile suspect after getting a license-plate number and expect to make a second arrest.

• Someone broke into a Calle Sin Sonte residence Tuesday and stole antique pocket watches with a combined value of $11,000. The victim reported that a friend who was house-sitting had invited other people to the home.

• Someone broke into a Fortuna Road home in the Eldorado area Tuesday and stole a Canon digital camera and a white-gold and diamond ring.

• Someone broke into a shed in the 50 block of Las Estrellas in the La Cienega area Tuesday and stole a tool box containing $300 in tools.
