The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating the following reports:
  • Officers arrested Abel Cordova-Lujan, age unavailable, of Pecos on Sunday and charged him with driving with a revoked license.
  • Police arrested Anthony Apodaca, age unavailable, 2927 Lois Lane, on Sunday and charged him with criminal damage to property and child abuse.
  • A unknown male grabbed an eight-pack of Bud Light beer from Allsup's, 4200 Airport Road, and ran out the door to a waiting blue Suzuki with New Mexico license number JXW-762. However, the license plate came back to a Santa Fe home where a neighbor told police no one had lived for three months.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department is investigating the following reports:
  • Deputies arrested Jason Cavitt, age unavailable, of Santa Fe on Monday and charged him with aggravated battery. Cavitt allegedly was one of several males who jumped another man on Gills Way, causing the man to fall into a fire pit and sustain serious burns to his back and arms.
  • Power tools were stolen between Friday and Monday from a residence on Agua Fría Street.
  • A 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen Sunday from outside an apartment on Camino Juliana.
  • A woman at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center on Monday reported that she attended a party at an unknown residence off Agua Fría Street, drank a couple of beers, and then fell asleep in one of the bedrooms. When she awoke, her pants were higher than her waistline and her vaginal area was sore. The woman was examined, and the case was referred to detectives.
  • A 39-year-old man was found dead in his vehicle, which was parked outside his home on Apache Ridge Road. The man had been drinking all day, according to a police report. No signs of foul play were reported.
  • A stereo and a computer were stolen Sunday from an apartment at Cedar Creek Apartments.
DWI arrests
  • Deputies arrested Georgia Maestas, 39, of Santa Fe on Saturday and charged her with felony driving while intoxicated after she was involved in a crash on U.S. 84/285 in Pojoaque.

Today's location of the Santa Fe Police Department's mobile speed enforcement vehicle:
  • u From 7 to 8:30 a.m.: Alvord Elementary School — on Paseo de Peralta between Lolita Street and the railroad tracks.
  • u After 8:30 a.m.: Southbound lanes of U.S. 84/285, north of N.M. 599.
