Cimarron River: Water flow below Eagle Nest Lake as of Monday was 4.9 cfs. There were no reports from anglers this week.

Conchas Lake: Fishing was slow for all species.

Coyote Creek: Trout fishing was slow.

Eagle Nest Lake: Kokanee snagging was fair for anglers working the south side by boat. The snagging is about over, as the fish were getting quite soft. Bank fishing for trout was slow, with just a few fish taken on power bait and roe sacs.

Lake Maloya/Lake Alice: Trout fishing at Lake Maloya was rated very good using salmon eggs, homemade dough baits and power bait. Fishing at Lake Alice was slow, and the water was quite murky.

Los Pinos River: Trout fishing was fair to good using salmon eggs, bead-head nymphs and worms.

Pecos River: Water flow near the town of Pecos as of Monday morning was 67 cfs. Trout fishing was fair using night crawlers, salmon eggs, copper john barrs, small spinners and egg patterns.

Red River: Water flow below the hatchery was 62 cfs. Trout fishing was fair using woolly buggers, egg patterns, copper john barrs and night crawlers.

Rio Grande: The water flow Monday morning at the Taos Junction Bridge was 312 cfs. Trout fishing was good using woolly buggers, copper john barrs, spinners and night crawlers for brown trout and a few rainbows. Fishing for northern pike was slow, but there were a few taken by anglers using large flies and jerk baits. There were no reports on other species.

Springer Lake: Fishing was slow for all species.

Storrie Lake: Fishing was fair to good using salmon eggs, cheese and power bait for trout. There were no reports on other species.

Ute Lake: Fishing for white bass was fair using spoons at 30 to 32 feet around Horseshoe Bend and Watson Island. Anglers fishing for white bass also caught a few walleye. There were no reports on other species.

Northwest area

Abiquiú Lake: Fishing was slow for all species. Fishing pressure was very light.

Bluewater Lake: Fishing continued to be very slow for all species.

Chama River: Monday morning water flows below El Vado and Abiquiú were 91 cfs and 72 cfs, respectively. Fishing below El Vado was good using woolly buggers, Panther Martins and night crawlers for brown trout. Fishing below Abiquiú was slow.

Cochiti Lake: Fishing was slow for all species.

Farmington Lake: Trout fishing was fair using salmon eggs, power bait and spinners.

Fenton Lake: Trout fishing was slow, with just a few trout taken by anglers drifting and trolling Pistol Petes.

Heron Lake: Kokanee snagging was very good last Friday and Saturday but slowed on Sunday. Fishing for rainbow trout was very good near the spillway. Best baits were roe sacs and salmon eggs. Anglers fishing for rainbows and using roe sacs also caught a few lake trout near the dam and in the Willow Creek area.

Jemez Waters: Water flow on the Jemez as of Monday morning was 28 cfs near Jemez Springs. Trout fishing on the Jemez and East Fork was fair using salmon eggs, copper john barrs and worms. Fishing on the San Antonio and Rio Cebolla was slow.

Manzano Lake: Trout fishing was good using spinners, power bait and Gulp chunky cheese bait.

Navajo Lake: Kokanee snagging here appears to be over for the year. Trout fishing was slow with just a few taken by anglers using roe sacs and salmon eggs. There were no reports on other species.

San Juan: Water flow below Navajo Lake as of Monday morning was 496 cfs. Trout fishing was slow to fair in the Quality Waters section. Best baits were dead chickens, red hots, RS2s, woolly buggers and BWOs. Fishing through the bait waters was fair using night crawlers, garlic cheese and streamers.

Catches of the week

Fenton Lake: Nov. 13, 80-year-old Dee Keaty caught her first fish, a rainbow trout. She was trolling a green Pistol Pete.

San Juan River: Nov. 15, Matt Pelletier of Albuquerque caught a 26-inch rainbow trout. He was fishing the Cable Hole and using a dead chicken fly.
