Share your holiday joy with the community in our second annual holiday photo contest.

Visit the contest page, hosted on our sister site Sfnmhome.com, register and submit your photos today. Starting Dec. 14, the contest page will open to community voting. The top vote getters will have their photo published in the Christmas Day issue of The Santa Fe New Mexican.

Nearly 200 images were entered in last year's contest and more than 1,800 votes cast.

So, get out your cameras and start snapping photos. Not sure what to shoot? Here are some suggestions:

  • Families gathering for Thanksgiving dinner
  • Lights on the Plaza
  • Home holiday decorations
  • Pets having fun
  • Families decorating their homes, inside and out
  • School concerts
  • Religious observances
  • Ski trips
  • Be creative ...

While this is a contest, the magic isn't in the competition, it's in the sharing. Post your images and email friends, locally and around the country; ask them to visit your images and share their own.

Santafenewmexican.com has several more holiday features that we'll be rolling our in coming days.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
Happy Holidays,
