Game Commission meets in Santa Fe

The State Game Commission meets today in Santa Fe to consider new rules for hunting and fishing on private land and to hear a proposal by a group of concerned landowners to change elk hunting rules in the Jemez Mountains.

The meeting will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 5, in the Leo Griego Auditorium of the Willie Ortiz Building, 2600 Cerrillos Road, in Santa Fe. The commissioners also will discuss alternative management strategies for special trout waters below Navajo Dam on the San Juan River and will hear about the department's audit report.
