Aerial performances, aircraft displays and a car show will be part of Santa Fe Airshow 2009 on Saturday at Santa Fe Municipal Airport.
Gates open at 9 a.m. for the show, hosted by the Aviation Association of Santa Fe. Performances start promptly at 11 a.m. and all events and exhibits end at 3 p.m.
Airborne wing walkers and a performance by the U.S. Air Force A-10 West Coast Demonstration team will be among the aerial displays. There also will be radio-controlled aircraft and sailplanes.
A static display on the airport ramp will include antique as well as modern, military as well as general aviation aircraft. An exhibit hangar will have booths from the Experimental Aircraft Association, the 99's, New Mexico Spaceport, military recruiters, New Mexico Department of Transportation and the Civil Air Patrol, among others.
Door prizes to be awarded include airline tickets to Dallas and Los Angeles provided by American Eagle Airlines, which serves the Santa Fe airport.
Food vendors will be located on the ramp and the Santa Fe Airport Grill will be open in the main terminal building.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate: $12 adults/$6 military. Children 12 and under get in free.
General parking is free, while preferred parking is $5 per vehicle. Visitors can bring folding chairs, but pets and coolers won't be allowed.
