Democrat Diane Denish is taking the offensive in her campaign for governor with a television ad criticizing GOP nominee Susana Martinez's record as a prosecutor.
Denish's ad was launched Thursday, just two days after the primary election. It's the latest sign that New Mexicans will see a hard-hitting campaign in the race for governor.
The ad criticizes Martinez for allegedly having a low conviction rate for murder cases and for allowing plea bargains in felony drunken driving cases despite once saying her office wouldn't do that.
