Udall: According to the latest figures available on OpenSecrets.org, a campaign finance Web site, Udall's biggest contributors are The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union, which gave the campaign $30,000; New Mexico state employees, who have donated $26,800; Baron & Budd, a Texas law firm representing people whose health has been damaged by toxic substances, $15,200; The American Postal Workers Union, $15,000; The Sheet Metal Workers Union, $15,000; Newmark Knight Frank, a New York-based real estate company, $14,800; K&L Gates, a law firm with 28 offices located on three continents, $13,100; the United Auto Workers Union, $13,000; and the American Optometric Association, $10,394.

The above figures include contributions from employees of the companies listed.

OpenSecrets reports at least 38 unions, political action committees and other organizations each have given the Udall campaign $10,000 checks.

Lawyers and law firms have contributed $497,270 to Udall, according to the most recently available OpenSecrets figures. His other major areas of contributors include Democratic and liberal organizations, $460,396; retired people, $317,371; Democratic leadership PACs, $212,250; securities and investment firms, $149,818; real estate, $146,343; health professionals, $116,677; public sector unions, $102,500; business services, $100,712; and lobbyists, $92,001

Fifty-four percent of Udall's contributions come from out of New Mexico.

Pearce: As has been true in all of Pearce's campaigns, oil and gas has been the biggest industry backing Pearce. In the Senate campaign, that industry has contributed $314,234, according to OpenSecrets.org. Other energy-related companies have given Pearce's campaign $66,350

Republican and conservative groups have given Pearce $306,156, OpenSecrets reports. Retired people have contributed $158,805; anti-abortion groups have contributed $131,771; the real estate industry has given $91,137 while the dairy industry has donated $73,450.

Pearce's largest single contributors are Club for Growth, a Washington, D.C.-based anti-tax group ($213,758); The Susan B Anthony List, an anti-abortion group, ($120,921); Marbob Energy ($23,000); Contran Corp., a Dallas holding company, ($21,941); Yates Petroleum, a New Mexico company, ($21,200); Marathon Oil ($16,800); Devon Energy ($14,850); Conquest Energy Corp ($13,800); Mack Energy ($13,800); Salopek Farms ($12,300); Independent Petroleum Association of America ($11,000); and Chevron Corp ($10,200). He has taken at least 13 contributions of $10,000 from other companies, political action committees and associations.

The above figures include contributions from employees of the companies listed.

Sixty-nine percent of Pearce's contributions have come from people or companies in New Mexico.
