Pecos River: Water flow near the town of Pecos as of Monday morning was 42cfs. Trout fishing was slow-to-fair using salmon eggs, copper john barrs and worms.
Red River: Water flow below the hatchery was 42cfs. Trout fishing was slow-to-fair using streamers and copper john barrs.
Rio Grande: The water flow Monday morning at the Taos Junction Bridge was 328cfs. Trout fishing was slow-to-fair using salmon eggs, streamers and jerk baits. We had no reports on other species.
Ute Lake: When the winds died down, fishing for white bass was fair-to-good using slab spoons and blade baits. Anglers fishing for white bass also caught a few good size walleye. We had no reports on other species.
Northwest area
Abiquiú Lake: Fishing was slow for all species. Fishing pressure was very light.
Chama River: Monday morning water flows below
El Vado and Abiquiu were 246cfs and 108cfs respectively. Fishing below El Vado was fair using spinners and worms for brown and rainbow trout to 18 inches. We had no reports from below Abiquiú.
El Vado Lake: As of Monday the lake was still free of ice for bank fishing but we had no reports from anglers.
Fenton Lake: As of Monday the lake was still closed to fishing due to thin ice conditions. For updated ice conditions, call the park office at 575-829-3630.
Heron Lake: Bank fishing was good using power bait, roe sacs and salmon eggs for rainbow trout and small lake trout.
Jackson Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Jemez Waters: Water flow on the Jemez as of Monday morning was 17cfs near Jemez Springs. Trout fishing on the Jemez and East Fork was slow-to-fair using egg patterns, salmon eggs and worms. Fishing on the Cebolla was slow.
Manzano Lake: Trout fishing was good using cheese baits and power bait.
Navajo Lake: Fishing was slow for all species. Fishing pressure was very light.
San Juan: Water flow below Navajo Lake as of Monday morning was 504cfs. Trout fishing through the Quality Waters was fair. Fishing through the bait waters was fair.
