Backing Chicago Wilderness, Children's Outdoor Bill of Rights: The House approved a resolution (H.Res. 860) sponsored by Rep. Mike Quigley, D-Ill., to support the Chicago Wilderness program and the Children's Outdoor Bill of Rights. Proponents said Chicago Wilderness "works to get more children outside, and it increases the amount and quality of the time they spend there. These individuals are people who are actively involved in efforts to clean, restore, and preserve our precious resources. The Chicago Wilderness...works hard to better the lives and communities of everyone in the Chicago-land area." The vote, on Jan. 13, was 369 yeas to 1 nay.
