Hours of operation at many government offices, businesses and institutions will be affected by this weekend's observance of the Independence Day holiday, including the following.

* State government offices will be closed today.

* City of Santa Fe administrative offices, including Municipal Court, will be closed today.

* Santa Fe public libraries will be closed all day today and Saturday.

* Fort Marcy Complex and Salvador Perez Pool will be closed today, but Bicentennial Pool will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, Fort Marcy Complex will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Salvador Perez Pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Bicentennial Pool will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

* Santa Fe County offices will be closed today.

* Santa Fe County's Solid Waste Transfer Stations will be closed today and Saturday. They will reopen at 8 a.m. Sunday.

* There will be no Rail Runner train service today. However, Santa Fe Trails bus service will run today on a Sunday schedule. On Saturday, the city buses will run on a regular Saturday schedule.

* City garbage and curbside recycling collection will follow a regular schedule.

* Santa Fe Community College will be closed today and Saturday.

* The New Mexican's advertising and business offices are closed today. They will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday. The newsroom remains open throughout the weekend. To reach an editor, call 986-3035.
