Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this, the first installment in La Fashionaria's annual makeover project. Now in its seventh year, the project is an excuse for La Fashionaira to spend her employer's money sprucing up three stylistically challenged locals — sometimes volunteers and sometimes nominees from friends or family.
This year's winners — a Pilates instructor, a schoolteacher and a supervisor at St. Elizabeth homeless shelter — will receive all the free fashion advice they can stand, a new outfit and salon pampering from the Cactus Aveda Salon.
This week, you'll learn a bit about our makeover candidates and their fashion challenges. Next week, we'll provide a guided tour of our shopping and salon adventures. And June 28 will be our "big reveal" when you'll see our trio made-up and over.
