Choose which classified system you prefer, and switch back and forth as needed
Classifieds with Photos
- Advantage:
- Photos accompany many ads, although currently only at thumbnail size.
- Disadvantages:
- Subcategories don't always work, and saving and emailing ads doesn't work consistently.
"ZCS" Classifieds
- Advantages:
- Subcategory searches work consistently.
- If you do a general search in a main category, the ads are arranged (and labeled) by subcategory, then by date within subcategory, so you can find related subcategory listings easily.
- Save and email ads works!
What’s going on?
Over a year ago, the company that long hosted our online classifieds suffered a two-week crash, so we built an emergency replacement system that has held up remarkably well. We call it ZCS, and always intended to upgrade it, but never had the time. When we switched to our new layout and design in October 2007, the same company that hosts the news for us had not yet fixed all the typical startup problems with the classifieds, but a few weeks ago, we decided that they had made enough progress that it was better, on balance, to make the switch. We may have been wrong!
We have identified a much much better system than either our old one or the current one, and hope to introduce it in a few weeks. If you would like to see it in action, click here and I will send you a link.
Please accept my profound apologies for the frustrations we have inflicted on you. We’re confident we can do better.

Pow! Wow! Now!
Comic-book figures like Superman, Captain America, and Spider-Man are a big part of the American mythology. Blessed with special powers, they defend the weak in the name of justice. But these characters are far from the first superheroes in North America. If you stray from the world of contemporary pop culture and drift into the world of Native American creation stories, you'll find superheroes of a different — but not entirely different — nature. »Story
