Nicholas A. Bumbacco, 44, has been named president and chief executive officer of Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company, which was founded in New Mexico's capital city in 1982.
Bumbacco has held managerial positions with Imperial Tobacco in Canada, British American Tobacco and Reynolds American Inc.
He replaces Richard M. Sanders, 56, who will remain in an advisory position with the company before retiring July 1.
Santa Fe Natural Tobacco has 135 employees in Santa Fe.
Pen fair set for March 14-15
The 14th annual Santa Fe Pen Fair, presented by Santa Fe Pens, will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 14 and noon to 5 p.m. March 15 at Sanbusco Market Center, 500 Montezuma Ave.
This year's event features the premier of the Santa Fe Edition XI line of fountain and roller-ball pens. Only 50 numbered fountain pens and roller-ball pens were produced.
The fair features such companies Acme, Bexley, Caran D'Ache, Conway-Stewart, Cross, Delta, Diplomat, Fisher, Lamy, Monte Verde, Namiki, Retro 1951, and Stipula among others.

Bead Fest coming to Santa Fe
Bead Fest, one of the largest consumer bead shows in the country, will hold its first show of the year March 12 to 15 at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center and Hilton Santa Fe.

Business license renewal deadline March 16
The city of Santa Fe requires all businesses to apply for renewal of their business license for 2009 on or before March 16.
Anyone with questions is encouraged to call 505-955-6551. The penalty for late renewal is $10.

Free DVD series about finance
Santa Fe financial adviser Marta Nystrom and several colleagues recently partnered with former Good Morning America co-host Joan Lunden to record an educational video series for "boomer" and retired consumers.
The video series will be distributed free of charge as a public service by Nystrom within the next two weeks.
