Business development workshop

Drew Tulchin, managing partner of Social Enterprise Associates, will present a workshop concerning new, emerging business entities and structures.

The workshop, "B Corporations, L3C and Stock Options for Charities," is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Santa Fe Complex, 632 Agua Fría St.

B Corporations use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. An L3C — a low-profit limited liability company — is an emerging legal form of business entity that bridges the gap between non-profit and for-profit investing. Providing stock for charities is a new trend whereby business owners set aside a small ownership stake for social entities, such as non-profits. For more information, call 216-7562.
