Business in construction zone given signage break

In an effort to help Santa Fe businesses that are affected by roadway construction, businesses in construction zones will be allowed temporary banner advertising during the construction period.

Construction zones are on Cerrillos Road from Calle del Cielo east past Camino Carlos Rey to Lujan Street; water line installation on South Meadows Road from Agua Fría Street to Jaguar Drive and ending at Cerrillos Road; and pedestrian safety and median improvement along Airport Road from San Felipe/Country Club Drive to Lopez Lane.

Normal sign enforcement will continue for all businesses outside construction areas. To review the signage ordinance, go to www.santafenm.gov.

For more information, contact Georgia Urioste, zoning inspection supervisor, at 955-6980.
