25 years for Coronado Paint

Coronado Paint and Decorating Center, 2929 Cerrillos Road, will kick off a celebration of its 25th anniversary at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Mayor David Coss, along with representatives from the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Fe Alliance, will be on hand, Coronado owner Buddy Roybal said.

The business plans to have a month-long sale that will feature special discounts and gifts.

"We are having our re-grand opening to mark 25 years in service to Santa Fe," Roybal said. "We're proud of being part of the community."

Roybal said his business, which is one of the largest minority-owned businesses in Santa Fe, employs 25 full time and another 15 to 20 subcontractors.

For more information, call Roybal at 473-5333.

3 make Tourism Hall of Fame

Three New Mexicans, including two from Northern New Mexico, will be inducted into the Tourism Hall of Fame at the 2009 Governor's Conference on Tourism banquet in Farmington on Wednesday.

They are Drew Judycki, owner of Red River Ski Area, who died in May 2008; Al Lucero, chairman of the New Mexico Tourism Commission and owner of Maria's New Mexican Kitchen in Santa Fe; and Cathy Gonzales, vice president of Conventions and Tourism for the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce.

Ford to donate for test drives

Now through June 1, 2009, Ford will donate $20 for every test drive taken at a Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealership — up to $1 million — to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an organization that battles breast cancer. Ford said more than 1,000 dealerships across the nation are matching this donation, which means a total of
$2 million could be raised.

Customers must first register at www.fordcares.com and obtain a registration form and registration number. This offer is limited to one per household, per e-mail address, per customer. After receiving the registration form, the customer goes to the dealership and test drives any new Ford or Lincoln Mercury vehicle. The dealer provides the customer with a special code.

The customer then goes back to fordcares.com and validates the registration form by entering their registration number and the dealer's code. All test drives must be registered by midnight June 15.
